Cat & Kitten Foster Network

Become a Lifesaving Foster for Cats & Kittens at Famous Fido Rescue

Every day, cats and kittens arrive at Famous Fido Rescue in urgent need of help, from orphaned newborns, abandoned litters, seniors who’ve lost their homes, and even families of cats facing euthanasia at open-intake shelters. While we do everything we can within the walls of our center, we know that nothing compares to the comfort and healing that comes from a home.

That’s where you come in.

Our Foster Network is a vital lifeline. By opening your heart and home, to care for cats until they’ve received their full round of vaccinations, you’re giving a scared, confused, or fragile cat the chance to decompress, heal, and thrive. Fostering ensures the safety of new animals entering our center – giving them the opportunity to fully update their vaccinations before meeting the rest of the cats in center, and meet their future families.

Who Needs Fostering?

  • Orphaned kittens too young for adoption
  • Nursing moms and litters
  • Cats recovering from surgery or illness
  • Shy, under-socialized cats needing trust-building
  • Seniors needing quiet, loving homes
  • Hospice cases deserving peace and dignity

What We Provide:

  • Veterinary care through our partner vets
  • Guidance and support from our team
  • Supplies as needed (litter, food, bedding)

What You Provide:

  • A safe, indoor space
  • Daily care, feeding, and love
  • Updates and photos to help us find adopters, and fundraise if necessary
  • Compassion, patience, and time

You don’t need to be an expert. You just need to care.
