Smitty

His Story 

Smitty was passed between members of his family when they each grew tired of being responsible for his care. He went from son to father, and the father eventually surrendered Smitty to Famous Fido Rescue when he no longer felt like caring for him either. He feels like he has had his heart toyed with for 7 years between these two homes. He just wants somewhere stable to relax and live out the rest of his days. Smitty’s care was neglected for a long time, and when he came in, he had severely rotted and deformed teeth and gums. Smitty had dental surgery and is now feeling a lot better and healthier. But because of this, he does prefer to eat soft food. Smitty is friendly and social. He would do well in a home on his own or perhaps with another small canine friend. 

His Sponsorship 

Smitty will need sponsoring for his daily care at Famous Fido Rescue, including for his food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is a very important part of his rescue journey, and he would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Smitty prefers soft food.
