Shady

His Story

Shady started his rescue journey as part of our intervention program. His mom was sick and was frequently at the hospital, and leaving Shady caged for long hours. As a young pup, Shady needed a lot of exercise and play, but he was instead left feeling lonely inside the crate, crying and howling. We had hoped to spare Shady from entering a shelter by working to rehome him, but sadly there wasn’t any interest in this sweet guy, and to get him into a more positive environment for him, his guardian surrendered him here. While Shady hasn’t had much time given to him for training, he is already showing an eagerness to learn new things. He is very treat motivated and would likely love to be enrolled in training classes with a guardian working with him. As loud noises tend to frighten him, Shady would likely prefer a quiet and calm home with minimal foot traffic. He is very gentle and loving though! 

His Sponsorship

Shady will need sponsoring for his daily needs at Famous Fido Rescue, including for his food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is also very important to improving Shady’s time at the center, and he would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. He especially loves bully sticks! Shady would especially love a new harness for walks, and fits a size medium.
