Their Story

Shadow, Grey, 19 years old 
Mogwai, Tortoise Shell, 15 years old

Shadow and Mogwai were surrendered to our center when their guardian felt they no longer had enough time to give the cats attention. They have been very confused and upset by the change of scenery and having different people around them, but have found comfort in cuddling with one another. As senior cats, they will need someone with a lot of compassion and time on their hands to show them the love they deserve and be patient as their adjustment period may take longer than most other cats. They each have expressed fear, and would do best in an adult-only household. Cats like Shadow and Mogwai who are surrendered in their senior years, rarely ever get the chance to find an adopter. We want to tip the odds in their favor because they are so beautiful and deserve to be in a loving home! 

Their Sponsorship 

Shadow and Mogwai will need sponsoring for their daily needs at the center, including for their food, housing, and medical care. As seniors, they will need regular wellness checks to monitor their ageing needs. Enrichment is very important to Shadow and Mogwai’s time here, and they would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and play. We are trying to build Shadow and Mogwai their own room at the center, so they can get a sanctuary away from the younger cats as well. Both Shadow and Mogwai are litter trained and will need clumping litter for their tray.
