Rue

Age: 6 years old
Sex: Male

His Story

Rue was abandoned at a vet when he was unconscious. We helped Rue get veterinary care which brought him around, and become alert, and able to eat. He is a miracle survivor! We don’t know exactly what happened to Rue, or why he became unconscious, but he does have issues with walking, where his back legs are very stiff. He would not be suitable for a high energy home with young children, or other active cats/dogs, but he could definitely share his space with calm feline or canine friends. He is a very affectionate cat. He always wants to be petted and get lots of attention. Rue’s future home will need to be considerate of his medical needs and understand it may require future care.

His Sponsorship

Rue needs medical sponsorship. He has difficulty walking which may be a result of an old hip fracture, arthritis, or malnourishment/mistreatment/neglect. Funds are urgently needed for exploratory veterinary care. Beyond that, Rue also needs help with his daily care, including his food, and housing. Enrichment is also an important part of his rescue journey, and he would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Rue is litter trained and uses pine litter for his tray.
