Oreo

His Story

Oreo is a young dog who has a lot of energy. In his previous home, his guardians struggled to train and keep up with him, and so he spent most of his day confined to a crate or on a tie out in the back yard. Oreo has not had any socialization in his formative years, and may need to be homed as an only dog. He is very jumpy and will pull on a leash, and therefore we feel it is best he be homed with an adult-only family. Oreo’s hair will shed and grow long, so he will need regular grooming, and would not suit a home with family members who have allergies. He would enjoy learning new tricks, as he seems to pick up on commands quickly, and would benefit from training classes, potentially even agility in the future. Sheepdogs are known for their intelligence, playful demeanor that continues well into their golden years. 

His Sponsorship

Oreo will need sponsoring for his daily need at Famous Fido Rescue, including for his food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is also very important to Oreo’s time here and he would love large, indestructible toys for play and treats for training. Bully sticks are great for his dental wellbeing also. Oreo needs to be regularly exercised for his mental stimulation, and would be so grateful to receive a new extra large harness and 6ft leash.
