Meet Star, a gentle 2-year-old Shiba Inu x Basenji mix with a tender heart and soulful eyes. Star’s life was turned upside down when she was cruelly abandoned in her apartment – left behind when her guardian moved away. Her cries for help echoed through the walls until a compassionate neighbor heard her and took action. Though Star has endured deep heartbreak, her quiet sweetness still shines through. She’s shy, sensitive, and searching for someone patient and kind who will help her feel safe again. Star longs for a peaceful, stable home where she will be truly seen, loved, and never left behind.

Transparency in Adoption Fees: What Your Contribution Helps Cover

At Famous Fido Rescue, we believe in being transparent about our adoption fees and the important care they help provide. Each adoption fee covers essential health services to prepare animals for a safe and happy transition into their new homes. This includes spaying or neutering, which costs between $85 and $500 based on vet availability. While we aim to use low-cost clinics, busy schedules may lead us to private clinics to prevent delays in adoption. Vaccinations start at $45, with young animals often needing multiple rounds. We also provide microchipping, which can cost up to $80, to help ensure the safety of every animal. Additionally, fecal testing is performed at $50 per test, and for all our cats, we run FIV/FeLV testing at $55 to secure their health. Your adoption fee makes all this vital care possible, giving each animal the best start in their forever home.
