His Story 

When Max’s guardian moved, they left him and another dog alone in the empty apartment. A neighbor was feeding them and able to find a home for the other dog, but Max had nowhere to go, and they asked if we could help. Max is a very sweet chihuahua, friendly with people of all ages, and gets along with other dogs and possibly even cats too. He is very gentle and loving in nature, a testament to his resilience for going through such a heartbreaking abandonment. Max needs a lot of love right now, he just wants to feel like he belongs, and he deserves to feel safe. 

His Sponsorship

Max will need sponsoring for his daily care at the rescue, including for his food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is also a very important part of his rescue journey, and he would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Bully sticks are especially great.
