His Story

Kirby was found in a critical condition tied to a tree. His finder had kept him safe to find where he belonged before surrendering him to Famous Fido Rescue. Kirby entered the center severely matted, seriously malnourished, and dehydrated. He was very fearful and baring his teeth. He didn’t know who to trust or if he could trust people at all. Kirby was given a groom to remove the hair that was pulling at his tiny frame and clear it from his eyes and obstructing his vision. Once the hair came off his eyes, Kirby began to mellow and realize he was going to be okay. In the days thereafter, Kirby has been slowly increasing his food intake to help him gain weight, and slowly showing us more of his personality. He has become especially friendly, and loves to play now and be petted. We are hoping to find someone special for Kirby who will continue making him feel safe, and never put him in harm’s way again. This little boy has been through too much already. 

His Sponsorship

Kirby will need sponsoring for his daily needs at the center including his food, housing, and medical care. Kirby entered the center in a critical condition with dehydration and malnutrition, so he will need help for his wellness checks to make sure he keeps improving. Enrichment is very important to Kirby’s time here and he would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Bully sticks are especially great.

Up to date with vaccinations/ Has a microchip

* Kirby will be neutered once he has gained sufficient weight. Please be aware it may take a little time before Kirby is able to go home.
