Age: 10 years old

Her Story

When Gracie’s person died, their daughter took her on and kept her for two years. But on a whim, they decided that they no longer wanted to care for her anymore. Gracie felt very let down. As a senior dog, she is terrified about being in an all-new environment. While our volunteers are doing their best to make sure Gracie feels comfortable, we know that she misses being in a familiar place like a home. Gracie wants to be wrapped up in a warm blanket, or better yet, sharing the bed with you. She wants to be able to relax and enjoy each day of her remaining years. She shouldn’t be scared and facing her forever alone. She is counting on a loving family to step up and ide with her for life! Gracie is good with other dogs, cats, and homes with gentle children who can be respectful of her space will be considered. Gracie is very friendly, but she is also quite fragile given her age.

Her Sponsorship

Gracie will need sponsoring for her daily needs at the rescue, including for her food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is a very important part of her rescue journey, and she would love to receive toys and treats for comfort and for play. Bully sticks are especially great! As a senior dog, Gracie will also need regular wellness checks to monitor any ageing ailments.
