Her Story

Chestnut is a 10-year-old chihuahua with a big personality packed into a little body. She’s feeling scared right now and still learning that the world can be kind, but underneath that uncertainty is a girl who truly wants to be loved and chosen. Chestnut is a bit sassy (as any self-respecting chihuahua should be), full of character, and endlessly expressive once she starts to feel safe. She does well with other small dogs and would be happiest in an adult-only home where she can settle in at her own pace and build trust without feeling overwhelmed. There is so much to adore about Chestnut, from her spunk, her individuality, and the loyal heart she’s ready to give to someone who sees past the nerves and gives her the patience she deserves.

Her Sponsorship

Chestnut will need sponsoring for her daily care at the rescue, including for her food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is also a very important part of her rescue journey, and she would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Bully sticks and soft training treats are especially great.

Spayed/ Microchipped/ Current with vaccinations
