Catrina
Breed: DSH
Age: 1 year old
Sex: Female
Her Story
Catrina’s family turned their back on her when she had a medical emergency – she had an abscess just under her eye that burst. She had surgery for it under our care, and has been healing nicely, and is not expected to cause any further medical concerns. She is a sweet girl, but she’s very nervous at the moment. It’s been traumatic for her to go through all of this, and especially lose her family when she needed them most. She needs someone in her life who will be a source of joy and comfort.
Her Sponsorship
Catrina will need sponsoring for her care at the rescue, including for her food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is also a very important part of her rescue journey, and she would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Catrina is litter trained and will need supplies of pine litter for her tray.

Transparency in Adoption Fees: What Your Contribution Helps Cover
At Famous Fido Rescue, we believe in being transparent about our adoption fees and the important care they help provide. Each adoption fee covers essential health services to prepare animals for a safe and happy transition into their new homes. This includes spaying or neutering, which costs between $85 and $500 based on vet availability. While we aim to use low-cost clinics, busy schedules may lead us to private clinics to prevent delays in adoption. Vaccinations start at $45, with young animals often needing multiple rounds. We also provide microchipping, which can cost up to $80, to help ensure the safety of every animal. Additionally, fecal testing is performed at $50 per test, and for all our cats, we run FIV/FeLV testing at $55 to secure their health. Your adoption fee makes all this vital care possible, giving each animal the best start in their forever home.
