Their Story
Athena and Aphrodite were abandoned by the train tracks in Mokena, Illinois. They were surrendered by a concerned citizen who saw them panting in the heat. They drove them all over the city looking for shelter, but everywhere was full. Athena was also pregnant and appears to be due any day now. Aphrodite (black) is her daughter who she spends a lot of time cuddling with. The pair’s father and brother were also surrendered with them (Zeus and Poseidon), and they have all been hanging out as a family unit. All four cats are very special! They are so sweet and friendly.
Their Sponsorship
Athena and Aphrodite will need sponsoring for their daily needs in center, including for their food, housing, and veterinary care. Athena is pregnant and due any day now, so her kittens will need care as well. Enrichment is also a very important part of their rescue journey and care packages with food, supplies, treats, and toys are especially appreciated. Athena and Aphrodite are litter trained and currently use pine litter for their tray.
