We work to change the conversation and improve the lives of domesticated animals in Chicago. But there is a whole planet full of species with whom we must peacefully coexist. Our mission extends to promoting awareness of the threats facing this way of life.

What We Believe

“We don’t have two hearts, one for animals and one for humans; we have one heart, or we don’t have any.”

-Alphonse de Lamartine

Preventing Surrender

We work with animal guardians to find alternatives to shelter abandonment and vet care in crisis situations.

No Kill Philosophy

Unnecessary abandonment and euthanasia can end with proper education and awareness.

Anti-Cruelty

Domesticated and wild animals around the world face unnecessary suffering that can be mitigated with compassion.
