His Story 

Ernie is a resilient, gentle soul who has already overcome more than most dogs ever should, and through it all, he has remained incredibly sweet, affectionate, and trusting. This lovable boy has a calm, cuddly nature, true to his “lazy bulldog” vibes, and simply wants to be close to his person, soaking up love and giving it right back. He is currently continuing his recovery and will need an adopter who can support his healing, including ongoing vet visits and a bit of extra care, but in return, Ernie offers a bond that is deeply special. He would do best in a patient, committed home where he can be the center of attention while he regains his strength, and where someone will see him not for what he’s been through, but for the incredible companion he is becoming.

His Sponsorship 

Ernie will need sponsoring for his daily care at the rescue, including for his food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is also a very important part of his rescue journey, and he would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Bully sticks and soft training treats are especially great.
