Buttons

His Story 

Buttons was found left behind in an apartment when the tenant had moved out. He was there all alone and found by the building’s landlord. We are still getting to learn Buttons’ personality, as he can been quite shy and reserved. He does however seem to get very excited by treats, and we think this might be a great motivator for training him. Buttons would likely be happiest as an only dog, or sharing his home with another small canine companion. Buttons did have a face mask lodged in his stomach at the point of his surrender, which he passed naturally. In the home, he would need a lot of attention to make sure he doesn’t swallow other things he is not supposed to. As a hair dog, Buttons will need someone who understands that he will require regular grooming. 

His Sponsorship

Buttons will need sponsoring for his daily care in center, including for his food, housing, and veterinary care. Enrichment is very important to help him feel at ease during his stay here and we know he would appreciate care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Bully sticks are especially appreciated!
