Nida

Her Story

Nida was brought into our center inside of an ice cold steel cat trap in below freezing weather without a towel or blanket inside to keep her warm. As upsetting as it was to see a cat brought inside this way, is just a small glimpse into the situation that lead her separation from her family. Nida’s guardian was going into a home care situation as a senior herself and her doctor deemed that she was no longer able to care for the cat herself. Her guardian’s caretaker called to arrange for the cat to go into a shelter but was not able to catch the cat as she ran in fear when the carrier came out, and so they had set up the trap for her. It was a very traumatizing experience for Nida and we hope to find her a home that will spoil her with all the love and care she needs to overcome such an ordeal. Despite what she has been through, it appears that Nida was very well looked after in her former home. She is very sweet and affectionate, and is of a healthy weight. She has dazzling green eyes that will pierce your heart and her purrs are so loud when you sit and snuggle with her. We would love to find her someone who will give her plenty of time to adjust to a new home and see her through for life.

Her Sponsorship

Nida requires sponsoring for her daily needs at Famous Fido Rescue, including for her food, housing, and medical care. As a senior cat, she will require special wellness check ups to monitor her ageing needs. Enrichment is also important to Nida’s time here, and she would love care packages with soft toys, a plush bed, and treats. Nida is also litter trained and will need a clumping litter for her tray.
