His Story 

Meet Peyton, a 3-year-old Westie mix with a heart waiting to heal. He came to us severely matted and neglected, surrendered by a family who didn’t have time for him. Understandably, Peyton is scared and protective, needing someone patient, kind, and willing to give him the time he deserves to rebuild trust. He is not suited for a home with children, but in the right environment, Peyton has the potential to blossom into a loyal companion. If you have a quiet, loving home and the patience to earn his trust, Peyton could be the perfect fit for you.

His Sponsorship 

Peyton will need sponsoring for his daily care at the rescue, including for his food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is also a very important part of his rescue journey, and he would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Bully sticks are especially great.

Transparency in Adoption Fees: What Your Contribution Helps Cover

At Famous Fido Rescue, we believe in being transparent about our adoption fees and the important care they help provide. Each adoption fee covers essential health services to prepare animals for a safe and happy transition into their new homes. This includes spaying or neutering, which costs between $85 and $500 based on vet availability. While we aim to use low-cost clinics, busy schedules may lead us to private clinics to prevent delays in adoption. Vaccinations start at $45, with young animals often needing multiple rounds. We also provide microchipping, which can cost up to $80, to help ensure the safety of every animal. Additionally, fecal testing is performed at $50 per test, and for all our cats, we run FIV/FeLV testing at $55 to secure their health. Your adoption fee makes all this vital care possible, giving each animal the best start in their forever home.
