His Story

Sage is a 4-year-old cat with a heart full of love, waiting for someone to show him that he matters. He was abandoned outside our rescue, found only when we checked for mail, frantically meowing from a carrier with a note explaining that his person had been taken away due to a medical emergency. Despite the confusion and sadness he’s endured, Sage is incredibly sweet and ready to trust again. He’s looking for a home where he will never feel forgotten, with someone who can offer him the stability and affection he’s been missing.

His Sponsorship

Sage will need sponsoring for his daily needs at Famous Fido Rescue, including for his food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is also a very important part of his rescue journey, and he would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Sage is liter trained and will need supplies of pine litter for his tray.

To send Sage a care package, please see his wish list here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/34IUR4LPSHY1L?ref_=wl_share

Transparency in Adoption Fees: What Your Contribution Helps Cover

At Famous Fido Rescue, we believe in being transparent about our adoption fees and the important care they help provide. Each adoption fee covers essential health services to prepare animals for a safe and happy transition into their new homes. This includes spaying or neutering, which costs between $85 and $500 based on vet availability. While we aim to use low-cost clinics, busy schedules may lead us to private clinics to prevent delays in adoption. Vaccinations start at $45, with young animals often needing multiple rounds. We also provide microchipping, which can cost up to $80, to help ensure the safety of every animal. Additionally, fecal testing is performed at $50 per test, and for all our cats, we run FIV/FeLV testing at $55 to secure their health. Your adoption fee makes all this vital care possible, giving each animal the best start in their forever home.
