Her Story 

Wombat is a sweet and gentle 2-year-old cat whose story of resilience and hope tugs at the heartstrings. Despite being found on the streets in a severely malnourished and frail condition, she has shown an incredible capacity for love and affection. Her thin, sparsely covered fur and petite frame tell the story of a cat who was never meant to fend for herself outdoors. Now safe and cared for, Wombat is looking for a family who will shower her with the love she’s been deprived of for so long. She’s incredibly friendly, soaking up every bit of attention with gratitude and purring softly at each gentle touch. Her Sponsorship 

Wombat will need sponsoring for her daily care at the rescue, including for her food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is also a very important part of her rescue journey, and she would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Wombat is litter trained and will also require supplies of clumping litter for her tray.

Transparency in Adoption Fees: What Your Contribution Helps Cover

At Famous Fido Rescue, we believe in being transparent about our adoption fees and the important care they help provide. Each adoption fee covers essential health services to prepare animals for a safe and happy transition into their new homes. This includes spaying or neutering, which costs between $85 and $500 based on vet availability. While we aim to use low-cost clinics, busy schedules may lead us to private clinics to prevent delays in adoption. Vaccinations start at $45, with young animals often needing multiple rounds. We also provide microchipping, which can cost up to $80, to help ensure the safety of every animal. Additionally, fecal testing is performed at $50 per test, and for all our cats, we run FIV/FeLV testing at $55 to secure their health. Your adoption fee makes all this vital care possible, giving each animal the best start in their forever home.
