Her Story 

Ellen is a beautiful 1-year-old tortoise shell cat who came to Famous Fido Rescue by no fault of her own. This affectionate and gentle kitty is looking for someone to brighten up her days. It’s very heartbreaking seeing her feel so lost and alone without a family of her own. She craves companionship and affection. 

Her Sponsorship 

Ellen will need sponsoring for her care at the rescue, including for her food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is also a very importnat part of her rescue journey, and she would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Ellen is litter trained and will also need supplies of pine litter for her tray.

Transparency in Adoption Fees: What Your Contribution Helps Cover

At Famous Fido Rescue, we believe in being transparent about our adoption fees and the important care they help provide. Each adoption fee covers essential health services to prepare animals for a safe and happy transition into their new homes. This includes spaying or neutering, which costs between $85 and $500 based on vet availability. While we aim to use low-cost clinics, busy schedules may lead us to private clinics to prevent delays in adoption. Vaccinations start at $45, with young animals often needing multiple rounds. We also provide microchipping, which can cost up to $80, to help ensure the safety of every animal. Additionally, fecal testing is performed at $50 per test, and for all our cats, we run FIV/FeLV testing at $55 to secure their health. Your adoption fee makes all this vital care possible, giving each animal the best start in their forever home.
