His Story 

Mochi is a 3-year-old Shih Tzu with a gentle disposition and a lot of love to give. Recently surrendered to our center, Mochi has persistent skin allergies that cause him discomfort, particularly when touched, but he remains sweet and affectionate. Despite his challenges, Mochi is a charming companion who would thrive in a patient, understanding home that can provide him with the care he needs. Ideally, he needs an adult-only home. With his previous family, Mochi shared a home with a 12-year-old. It was very stressful for him, because they wanted to touch him a lot, and didn’t understand that it was hurting his skin. We’re seeking a loving adopter who can work with a dermatologist to manage his skin issues and offer him a comfortable, happy life. Mochi deserves a second chance in a warm and welcoming home. 

His Sponsorship 

Mochi will need sponsoring for his daily care at the rescue, including for his food, housing, and medical care. Enrichment is also a very important part of Mochi’s time at the rescue, and he would love to receive care packages with toys and treats for comfort and for play. Sensitive fish treats would be best for Mochi’s skin.
